Requirements
ocPortal will run on virtually any commercial web hosting account. It requires only modest versions of PHP and mySQL on the server, and GD enabled - this is standard on almost any Linux server, and most Windows servers. If running on older versions of PHP (4.x.x versions), it requires a minimum memory limit of 12MB.
If you'd like to link a website into an existing community, we support integration with phpBB, vBulletin, Invision Power Board (IPB), Burning Board (WBB), Simple Machines Forum (SMF), WowBB and XMB - and others on request. We also provide our own integrated forum software (no separate install required).
Whilst ocPortal is fully customisable in every way, technical web-design skills (CSS, XHTML) are required to construct websites that have visual layouts differing radically from currently available ocPortal themes. It is easy to make an ocPortal website, but the most advanced bespoke customisations require skill or additional investment.
